Happy Sports Betting Independence Day

Two years ago today, the Supreme Court struck down PASPA, the 1992 act that effectively outlawed sports betting in the U.S., with a few exceptions. Since that decision two years ago, states have been able to make their own sports betting laws and so far, 20 states and territories have legalized sports betting with many more bills working their way through state legislatures.

Three other highlights we’re celebrating:

  1. Enrollment is now open at www.SportsGamblingEducation.com. LEARN everything you need to know to enter or advance in the sports betting industry and EARN a certificate from the Ohio University College of Business. Start today and learn at your own pace, with original lectures from professors, regulators, operators, and our own Matt Holt.

  2. We’ve also unveiled an all-new look at www.USIntegrity.com. We’re proud to highlight our partners from coast-to-coast and our conflict-free approach to sports betting integrity.

  3. Finally, congratulations to all of our partners now operating in Colorado, who flipped the switch on sports betting on May 1. With passionate fan bases for its pro teams and five NCAA D-1 schools, the Centennial State is going to be a sports betting hotbed. More than 20 different sportsbooks have received licenses so consumers will have plenty of wagering options. U.S. Integrity applied for and received a license as well - we’re proud to be one of the first state-approved integrity providers.

Final thought: While our industry (and every segment of the U.S. economy) has been battered recently, we’re buoyed by the response to the NFL Draft 2020, UFC 248 & 249, and the return of NASCAR this weekend. We can’t wait to welcome back all professional and college sports, but we’re trusting each sports’ leadership to make the best, safest decisions for all parties. #StayHealthy everyone and we’ll see you soon, hopefully at a ballpark near you!
